Flash Cards
Use flashcards to show random words from a list.
Flash Cards can also be added as a single-use slide in your Slide Deck. However, it will not automatically sync with the app. Make sure to choose one that is most suitable to your needs.
- From the Dashboard left-hand side menu click on Apps.
- Search, or find the app tile in the list. Click on Flash Cards.
- Click the 'Close Menu' button at the bottom left of the screen to enter full screen.
- When you open the app, you’ll see three options for word sources: 'Hive Built-in,' 'My Word Bank,' and 'Maths Expressions.'
- For the 'Hive Built-in' word source, you can select a category and expand it to view the sounds within.
- If you choose the 'My Word Bank' source, you can either use an existing word bank by selecting it from the list or create a new one by clicking on 'Edit Word Banks.'
- If you choose 'Maths Expressions,' you can set the minimum and maximum numbers to use, select the operations to include, and even add special operations if needed.
- You can enable annotations and use the 'Draw' option to add drawings directly onto the flashcards.
- Click 'Connect to Timetable' to connect the app with your timetable entries.
- Click the pin icon to add the app to your pinned apps on the dashboard.
