Decodable Images
Use the image to figure out the decodable word.
Decodable Images can also be added as a single-use slide in your Slide Deck. Sound settings will automatically sync whether accessed through the Slide Deck or the app.
- From the Dashboard left-hand side menu click on Apps.
- Search, filter by Literacy, or find the app tile in the list. Click on Decodable Images.
- Click on the Close Menu to enter the full screen.
- Click the "Start" button to begin generating random images.
- You can choose between CVC, CVCC & CCVC, and CCVCC, or include all three in the random image selection.
- If you select CVC, CVCC & CCVC, and CCVCC, or select all three, you can then choose which vowel sounds to include, specific letters, or both.
- You can also toggle on options to include Consonant Digraphs, Long Vowels, Diphthongs, R-controlled Vowels, and Consonant Phonemes. To explore more about these selections, just click the arrow beside each one to expand the details.
- Click "Reveal" to uncover the word hidden behind the image.
- Click "Reset" to restore the default settings.
- Click 'Connect to Timetable' to connect the app to your timetable entries.
- Click the pin icon to add the app to your pinned apps on the dashboard.
