How do I create a timetable from scratch?

Before adding timetable entries, you need to create them as timetable options. You can easily do this by clicking “+ Add or Edit” or by following the steps provided here.

If you want to link an app, deck, or list to your timetable entries for easy access, you can set them as default connections. Read more here.

Create a Timetable from Scratch

1. Navigate to the "Plan" tab located on the left side of the screen.

2. Navigate to the "Week" section.

3. Click on "+ Add or edit entries" to add your entries for that day.

4. To add the entry or option you want, click on the "+" button located on the right side of the option.

5. You can easily duplicate last week’s or yesterday’s schedule. Just click on the three dots and select "Duplicate from." You’ll find two options: "Yesterday" and "Last Monday." Keep in mind that since there are no classes on Sundays, you can only duplicate from the last Monday on any given Monday.

6. On the other hand, for the rest of the week, like on Tuesdays, you can duplicate either last Tuesday's schedule or yesterday's schedule.

Generate a Timetable from the Teaching Cycle

1. If you haven't set your Teaching Cycle yet, head over to the Teaching Cycle section to get started.

2. To set your term dates, click on "Edit Term Dates." This will allow you to customise and adjust your schedule accordingly.

3. You can choose between two options: "Pick Common 2024 Dates" or "Add Empty Year" to set your preferred term dates.

4. Set your weekly schedule for the entire term by adding the necessary entries for each day. This will help keep everything organised and consistent throughout the term.

5. If needed, you can easily add a new week by clicking on the "+Add week" button.

6. You can set default decks to your teaching cycle to avoid creating them daily throughout the entire term. Just click on "Add default decks" to streamline your schedule.

7. To generate your Teaching Cycle into your Timetable, go back to the Week section.

8. Make sure to delete the existing entries first by clicking the trash bin icon next to each entry before generating the Teaching Cycle.

9. Or you can click on "Delete all" by clicking on the three dots.

10. To generate the Teaching Cycle simply click 'Generate week from teaching cycle' or click on the three dots and select "Duplicate from."

11. Choose the "Teaching Cycle" option.
