How do I add, duplicate, and delete slides?

The slide manager panel on the left side of the editor makes it easy to add, duplicate, and delete slides in your deck.

Adding a new slide

There are three ways to add a slide:

Add a blank slide

Click the + button at the top of the slide manager panel to add a new blank slide after the currently selected one.

Add a slide from a template

Click the dropdown arrow next to the + button to open the template picker. Browse or search for a template, then click it to insert a new slide with that layout.

Insert a slide between existing slides

Hover between any two slide thumbnails in the slide manager panel. A + button will appear in the gap — click it to insert a blank slide, or use its dropdown to choose a template.

This is also available in the Grid view (accessible from the bottom bar).

Import from another deck

You can also import slides from another deck. See the "How do I import slides from another deck?" help article for details.

Duplicating a slide

You can also duplicate individual objects within a slide by selecting them and pressing Ctrl+D (or Cmd+D on Mac).

Deleting a slide

Hover over the slide thumbnail in the slide manager and click the trash can button that appears.

The grid view also supports multi-select for delete (and duplicate) operations.

Tips

  • Adding a slide always inserts it after the currently selected slide
  • Use Ctrl+Z (Cmd+Z on Mac) to undo a deletion immediately. Note: You can only undo and redo work within the current session — if you leave the editor and come back, previous changes can't be undone.
