How do I present my slides?

Presentation mode displays your slides in a clean view that fills the available space, with simple navigation controls — perfect for displaying on a projector or sharing your screen.

Starting a presentation

Click the Present button in the top-right of the top bar to enter presentation mode.

Your slides will fill the available container space, starting from the slide you're currently viewing.

To display your visual timetable, click the arrow in the bottom-right corner

There are several ways to move between slides:

Keyboard

Key Action
Right arrow Next slide
Left arrow Previous slide
Escape Exit presentation

On-screen controls

A control bar appears at the bottom of the screen with:

  • Previous button (left arrow)
  • Slide counter showing your current position (e.g. 3 / 12)
  • Next button (right arrow)
  • Exit button

Touch / swipe

On touch devices, swipe the left and right zones of the screen to navigate between slides — these zones are on both sides for easy access whether you stand on the left or right of the screen.

Interacting with apps during a presentation

Apps embedded in your slides remain fully interactive during presentation mode. For example:

  • Timers continue counting
  • Spinners can be spun
  • Videos can be played
  • Interactive apps respond to clicks and input

This means your slides aren't just static — they're live, interactive resources for your lessons.

Drawing and annotating during a presentation

A set of drawing tools is available directly in the presentation control bar, so you can annotate slides while presenting:

Tool Description
Select Default pointer mode
Draw Freehand drawing on the slide
Highlight Semi-transparent highlight
Laser Temporary pointer that fades away
Eraser Remove drawings

A colour picker is also available to change the drawing colour during the presentation.

Click Swap sides to reposition the drawing tools to suit your preference.

Exiting a presentation

  • Press Escape on your keyboard
  • Click the Exit button in the bottom control bar

You'll return to the editor at the slide you were last viewing.

Tips

  • Start your presentation from any slide — you don't have to begin at slide 1
  • Use the slide manager to jump to a specific slide before presenting
  • Video backgrounds play automatically during presentation; foreground videos require a click
  • The laser pointer is available directly in the presentation control bar — it draws a temporary line that fades away, perfect for pointing at content without leaving permanent marks
  • Use presentation mode to preview your slides as you build them, not just for the final lesson
