How do I import slides from another deck?
You can copy slides from one deck into another, making it easy to reuse content across different presentations without recreating it from scratch.
Importing slides
- Open the deck you want to import slides into
- Open the Copy slides from another deck dialog (accessible from the deck menu or toolbar)
- Select the source deck you want to copy from
- Choose which slides you'd like to import
- The selected slides are added to your current deck
What gets imported
When you import slides, everything on each slide is copied:
- Text and formatting
- Images and videos
- Apps and their settings
- Shapes and drawings
- Slide background (colour, image, or video)
The imported slides appear as new slides in your deck, fully editable and independent of the source.
Tips
- Importing creates a copy — changes to the imported slides won't affect the original deck, and vice versa
- This is a great way to build a new presentation by pulling in your best slides from previous decks
- If you find yourself importing the same slide layout frequently, consider saving it as a template instead for even quicker access
- You can import as many slides as you need in a single operation
