Match Decodable Images
Match Decodable Images is a phonics matching activity where students connect decodable words to their matching images. Drag and drop or tap to connect pairs - great for decoding practice, vocabulary building, and phonics revision.
How do I access Match Decodable Images?
You can access Match Words in three ways:

Through Teach Mode - open Match Decodable Images app directly from the bottom bar of Teach Mode.

- From the Apps library - browse or search for Match Decodable Images in the Apps library, or filter by Literacy.

In your slide deck - you can add the Match Decodable Images App by clicking Apps > Type Class > Match Decodable Images
How do I use Match Decodable Images?
Tap Get new words to generate a random set of decodable words and images.

Students then drag and drop or tap to connect each word to its matching image.

How do I choose which words appear?
Tap Edit word filters to select the phonemes you'd like included.

You can pick individual sounds or use the Select all toggle to include all available phonemes.

Can students get feedback as they go?
Yes - turn on Show results as you go so students get immediate feedback. Correct pairs will show a green line and incorrect ones will show red. If all words are matched but some are wrong, a prompt will appear letting students know to try again.

How do I hide the settings?
Tap Close Settings to close the settings panel and give students a fuller view of the matching activity.

- You can add Match Decodable Images to your favourite apps by tapping the star icon.
