How do I set my term dates?
It's recommended to define your term dates before setting up your teaching cycle, as The Hive uses them to identify the corresponding day in your Teaching Cycle for and to track the current week of the term.
Term dates are based on the public school term dates for each state in Australia and New Zealand. Make sure to double check they are correct for you and your school!
If your school/area isn't covered here, feel free to choose a similar option, or begin with an empty year and manually complete the dates.
- From the Dashboard left-hand side menu click on Plan.
- You can edit your term dates in both the term planner or the teaching cycle. Just click 'Edit term dates'.

- Pick from common term dates or set your own.
- If your school operates on a fortnightly (or longer) schedule, you can add up to 2 more weeks. Simply click '+ Add week'.
- Once set up, your term dates will be reflected in your weekly planner and term calendar.
