Spinner Picker
The spinner picker is a fun and versatile app for randomly selecting numbers, students, or words.
- From the Dashboard left-hand side menu click on Apps.
- Search, or find the app tile in the list. Click on Spinner Picker.
- Click on 'Number' if you want spinning number options. You can add numbers from 1 to 50.
- Click on 'Students' for student name options. Ensure your class and students are set up—follow the steps here to add them.
Choose the class whose students you want as options. You can also toggle the 'Remove after selection' option if you'd like to remove the student after selection.
- Click on 'Hive Words' to generate random words from the Hive word bank. Customise the filters (such as CVC, CVCC, long vowels, etc.) to select the types of words you want included based on your chosen filters.
- Click on 'Word Bank' to generate random words from your personal word bank, which includes your most frequently used words, sounds, and sentences.
Just click 'Edit word banks' if you want to make adjustments.
- Choose from the colour palette to change the theme.
- Click 'Connect to Timetable' to connect the app to your timetable entries.
- Click the pin icon to add the app to your pinned apps on the dashboard.
