How do I generate a timetable from my Teaching Cycle?

Firstly - what is the Teaching Cycle?

Think of your Teaching Cycle as a baseline template for each day of the week. Your cycle can be weekly, fortnightly (with Week A and Week B) or whatever other duration that your school uses.

Ensure your teaching cycle and term dates have been set up. To learn more about it, click here.

1. Navigate to the "Plan" tab located on the left side of the screen.

2. In either the Weekly or the Daily view, navigate to the date(s) for which you'd like to generate your timetable.

In the Daily view, the option to "Generate these from Teaching Cycle" if the day you're looking at falls during term time (and you have entries in your Teaching Cycle).

In the Weekly view, the button "Generate week from Teaching Cycle" will generate all 5 days in one click!

You can also generate a timetable for a specific day via the "three dots" menu for the day.

4. In all of these cases, The Hive will create the timetable from the corresponding day of your Teaching Cycle.

5. If your Teaching Cycle needs to be updated, view and edit it using the Teaching Cycle link next to Plan view modes.

6. You can then check and edit the daily setups within your Teaching Cycle.

Changes to your teaching cycle will not automatically update your existing daily or weekly plans. If you wish, you can delete all entries to create a fresh setup.
