How do I share a slide deck?
Slide decks can only be shared with trusted contacts who are also Hive members. Ensure that you’re sharing with individuals who have an active Hive membership for seamless access.
Adding trusted contacts
- Navigate to the Contacts page by clicking the hamburger menu on the top-left then click 'Contacts'. Click the 'Add contact' button on the top-right.
You can also navigate to the Contacts page directly from your slide deck. Just click the three-dot menu on the slide deck you want to share, then click 'Share with' > 'Add contact'.
- Enter the email address of the contact you want to share your slides with. Make sure it matches exactly with the email linked to their Hive account.
- Select your relationship with the user (e.g., co-teacher, job share partner, same grade teacher, etc.).
- Add comments, check the box if you're in the same school, and click 'Send request'.
- You can view sent requests, active connections, and pending requests (where you'll receive a request) on the Contacts page.
- Your contact will receive a pending request. Once they confirm, you'll be able to share your slide deck with them.
Sharing slide decks to trusted contacts
- Once a contact is added, go to your Content page (or expand the menu to navigate directly to Slide Decks) and select the slide you want to share.
- Click the three-dot menu and select 'Share with,' then choose the contact you want to share it with.
- To view shared slide decks, click 'Shared' at the top-right of the Contacts page. This is also where you’ll find slide decks that have been shared with you.
- Slide decks shared with your contacts will now be duplicable and editable by them.
