How do I create a list from scratch?

Lists are a versatile way to present ordered and organised information to your class. Once created, you can add them into any Advanced Slide, and also connect them to your timetable for fast access during a lesson.

  1. From the Dashboard left-hand side menu click on Content.

  1. Create your list by clicking on 'Create Item' and enter a name for your list.

Note: You can also convert your lists into your own templates.

  1. Add items to your list. To change an item's image, simply click 'Pick Image.' You can choose from the Hive library or upload your own.

  1. Click the kebab icon (three dots) in the top-right corner to explore various settings for your list.

List colour

Choose a colour for your list. Comes in handy when you have multiple lists!

List type

You can change the list type into bullets, numeric, or none. Click 'View mode' to see how it'll appear.

.. or create it as a checklist by turning on the checkboxes.

List image

You can also select a main image for your list. Just like with individual items, choose an image from the Hive library or upload your own.

Other options

You can add another list within, convert it to groups, duplicate your list, or create a template. Once saved as a template, you can access it from the 'My Template' tab, which will automatically generate an editable copy.

  1. Connect your list to a timetable entry (as default or as a one-off list).

Click 'Connect to Timetable' and select whether to link it to a specific day's timetable or set it as a default option—the connected item will be accessible each time you use the option in your timetable.

  1. Once connected, you can easily access it from your timetable.

Simply click on the list to open it instantly within the timetable, making it easy to check off items. To close the list, click the X icon. Keep in mind that clicking the eye icon will take you directly to the list in your Content folder.

Adding a list to your Advanced Slide

Connecting a list to a timetable doesn’t automatically add it to your Slide Deck. To insert a list for a slide, click 'Insert a List' in the Advanced Slide and choose the list to display.

Please note that if you select the same list connected to the timetable, any changes (list type, colour, items, etc.) will be reflected in the slide. For lists with checkboxes, you can only tick them within the timetable or on the content page.
