Number of the Day

Practice the number of the day using a variety of tasks.


Number of the Day can also be added as a single-use slide in your Slide Deck. However, it will not automatically sync with the app. Make sure to choose one that is most suitable to your needs.

  1. From the Dashboard left-hand side menu click on Apps.

  1. Search, filter by Mathematics, or find the app tile in the list. Click on Number of the Day.


  1. Enter the day's number into the circle. Click on the different you'd like to accomplish (i.e. Tally, Ten Frames, etc.)

  1. Expand the settings and update according to your needs.

Add or remove tasks by clicking the right arrow button. Removed tasks will be listed under 'Add Tasks,' where you can easily reinsert them by clicking.

Note: To set your changes as the default, click the save button.


Click the eye icon if you wish to reveal or hide the tasks for the day.

You can also choose to view an overview of each task. This will display a preview of what will appear when you click on each task.

Click the bin icon to clear all number data, including task completion. Use this option when you need to reset the number of the day.

If you want to revert to the original settings, click the restore icon.

  1. Click on each task to open and complete.

Plus and Minus

Enter the amount you would like them to add or subtract from the number of the day. Click the 'Mark as completed' button on the top right once completed and click the X icon to close the task.

Number Tally

Manually add or subtract tallies by clicking the (+/-) icons on the bottom of the screen. Click the 'Mark as completed' button on the top right once completed and click the X icon to close the task.

Ten Frames

Adjust the frame sizes in increments of 5 or 10s. Drag the coloured tokens into the frames to start counting. Click the 'Mark as completed' button on the top right once completed and click the X icon to close the task.

Text

Enter the number in word format into the provided box. Click the 'Mark as completed' button on the top right once completed and click the X icon to close the task.

Base Ten

Select the units you want to include. You can choose to display the number count and adjust the orientation of the 10s (vertical or horizontal). Click the 'Mark as completed' button on the top right once completed and click the X icon to close the task.

Before and After

Adjust the number of boxes according to the selected number. For example, if the number is in the 100s, set the box count to 3. Click the 'Mark as completed' button on the top right once completed and click the X icon to close the task.

Odd or Even

Choose between odd or even by clicking the corresponding circles. Click the 'Mark as completed' button on the top right once completed and click the X icon to close the task.

Part Part Whole

Drag and drop the circles to where you want them or manually add new circles by clicking the 'Add' button. Use the 'Flip' button to switch the order, placing Part-Part on top and Whole on the bottom, or vice versa. When finished, click the 'Mark as Completed' button and then the X icon to close.

Place Values

Place values will automatically adjust (e.g. Hundreds, Thousands) based on the number of the day. Click the 'Mark as completed' button on the top right once completed and click the X icon to close the task.
