How do I add a text box to a slide?

Note: A basic slide is perfect for title pages or for creating a simple slide with text and a background. However, you will not have the option to add more text boxes.

  1. On the advanced slide, click on the Text button to type.

  1. You can select various options to customise your text, including font style, size, colour, and alignment

Heading/list

Click on the 'Aa' text format button and choose your format style. You can also choose to turn your text into a bulleted or number list.

Font

Choose from the list of available fonts. By default, your font is set to Sans, but you can switch it to match your theme's font by selecting 'AUS State'.

Size

The minimum text size available is 12px, and the maximum is 144px. Be sure to adjust the text box to fit your chosen font size.

Text style and text box colour

You can customise your text's colour, formatting, alignment, and even the background colour of the text box. To change the text colour, simply click on the palette icon. For adjusting the text box background, click the paint bucket icon below the text box.

  1. If you need to add a link to your text, click the chain link button. Highlight the text you want to link, then paste the URL in the box provided.

  1. You can move the text box by pressing the crossbar icon at the bottom of the text box and adjust the text box size by dragging the resize handles.
